🧭 How Referral Tracking Works
Overview
Flexxbuy’s referral system ensures you receive proper credit for every prospect you bring in — even if they don’t fill out a form right away.
Our system uses cookies to track visitors who land on any page using your referral link.
🕵️♂️ The Tracking Process
-
A visitor clicks your referral link (the URL with
?ref=000). -
When they land on the Flexxbuy website, a cookie is stored in their browser.
-
This cookie lasts for 6 months and automatically resets each time they return to the site.
-
If they fill out any form on the site — whether it’s to request a proposal, schedule a call, or complete an application — the system checks if your referral code was attached to any of their previous visits.
-
If it was, the lead is automatically attributed to you in the partner portal.
🧮 Cookie Details
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Duration | 6 months |
| Reset Behavior | Resets each time the visitor returns to the site |
| Scope | Works across all pages on flexxbuy.com |
| Attribution Point | When a visitor completes any form submission |
✅ What This Means for You
-
You get credit even if your referral doesn’t act immediately — as long as they submit a form within six months.
-
You don’t need to manually register every lead (though you can if you prefer).
-
Your code can be added to any page, not just the merchant application.
-
Every visit with your code refreshes the tracking window — so it’s always up to date.
